Our three boys, Jake, now 21, twins Josh and Cameron, now 18, have lived here most of their lives. They revel in the outdoors and all the activities they can participate in here.

Jake is finishing his Associate's degree in the ski and snowboard business (yes, really) at Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He is a certified snowboard coach and certified snowboard instructor who has competed in multiple mational-level championships. He has also spent the last several seasons shredding the powder in Chile.

Josh is the lone skier in the group and attended his senior year of high school in Germany. He now attends Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. He has raced or competed in freestyle since he was six. He's been to the US Snowboard National Championships six times. He's finished 5th in the nation twice, and 8th in the skiercross event in 2009. (They allow skiers to compete in freestyle and skiercross since those events are not sanctioned by the US Ski Association.)  In 2009 he won a prestigious Congress-Bundestag sponsored scholarship and attended his senior year in a German high school. Everyone missed him, especially the MVHS soccer team.

Cameron has been to the US Snowboard Championships ten times, and has finished in the top 10 for eight of those years. He was All District soccer goalie on the Moreno Valley High School District Championship team in 2008! Then he spent the winter/spring semester in Torino, Italy, learning Italian and shredding the slopes in the Alps every chance he got. It paid off with an academic/athletic scholarship to Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village, Nevada where he is a member of the collegiate national championship snowboard team. He won a silver medal in the giant slalom at the Nationals and finished in 10th place overall (combined scores for GS, slopestyle, halfpipe, and boardercross). He was awarded both All-American and Academic All-American honors (as a freshman!).
