Our area is world famous for the clear blue waters of the 2,200 acre Eagle Nest Lake and the trout and salmon that lie beneath the surface. We also have Angel Fire's own private Monte Verde Lake, complete with picnic tables and barbeque grills. There are also rowboats and paddleboats for rent. (Sorry, no power boats or outboards allowed.) Also, the Resort's private Olympic Park pond, stocked with rainbow trout, is a favorite for the age 12-and-below set and seniors, the only folks allowed to fish it. Stream fishermen will appreciate the fly-fishing opportunities of Cimarron Canyon, one of New Mexico's best Brown Trout fisheries, and where some white-water streams are designated catch-and-release. Permits are required. |
