We are surrounded by large ranches and the Kit Carson National Forest. Lots of creeks, lakes such as the Eagle Nest Lake State Park and the resort-owned Monte Verde Lake.  Angel Fire, a quiet town with lots of friendly folk and stimulating amenities. For the intellectuals and artsy types, we host Music at Angel Fire, a series of summer concerts performed by national-level musicians; the Mountain Theatre, a series of plays; and multiple arts fests and craft fairs. If the Angel Fire Ski Resort isn’t enough terrain for you, there are multiple options-- five other ski areas within a two hour radius: Taos Ski Area; Red River; Sipapu; Santa Fe; and Pajarito/Los Alamos. Golfers have the same options—the Angel Fire golf course is PGA rated 18-holes and available from May through October. Cool summer days make play possible all day long, something our friends from Texas and Arizona say is not fun to do back home. Other courses within a two hour drive are: Taos Country Club; Raton Municipal; Quail Run and /or Las Campañas in Santa Fe; Pendaries; New Mexico Highlands; and Los Alamos. |
